Kintbury to Marsh Benham Lock 81.           27 July

Arranged for a day trip with Bruce and Joyce so met them at the Red House pub and left their car by Lock 81 at Marsh Benham. Back in mine to Cribbit moored by Bridge 78.

They soon got into boating mode, including lunch with a very nice bottle of Chateau Neuf au Pape that they had brought for the occasion.

Decided that Kintbury would be a good place to start our trip with the Lynches and that we could run back to the Blue Ball the following day by car and do a final car shuffle then as well. Also the parking is good by the visitor moorings and railway.
