Moved down to Hungerford, near to a favourite pub, The Railway Tavern. This gives a good incentive to stay here but that the car is parked 1.5 miles away so I feel I have deserved my pint of Pride by the time I can get to it.
'When I can get to it', is the point as it is right next to Hungerford Station and a level crossing which takes an inordinate amount of time to open when one is desperate for a pint on the way up and an inordinate amount of time to open when one is desperate for a pee on the way down.
One of the things I like about The Railway Tavern is that it is a Fuller's pub which means I can drink London Pride, a favourite of mine. Especially bringing back memories of their Brewery Tap and walking past their brewery at the end of my first day of my great walk home from work in 2011. The licensee Kevin, keeps a good pint and his is the cheapest, and best, of the local Fuller's pubs I have sampled. [Not a scientifically significant set I have to admit.]
